Dry density of crude oil
The data obtained, together with the water and sediment contents of the whole oil enable the dry and wet oil densities to be calculated. NOTE 1 If the sediment content of the oil is below 0.01 % then for routine calculations this term may be ignored. In the Density vs temperature figure(°C), you se that the light grey line represent this crude oil. Then, use the light grey line in the Crude oil volume correction figure (Density@Observed T/Density@15°C). At 50°C the correction factor is 0.965. The volume of your crude oil at 15°C is 100liters*0.965 = 97 liters. (Easy check: Lowest volume at the lowest temperature) Crude oil's viscosity can vary from a low-viscosity liquid to up to tar-like, nearly solid form. Classification according to the API degree: Light crude oil: API gravity higher than 31.1 °API (less than 870 kg/m³) Medium crude oil: API gravity from 31.1 °API to 22.3 °API (870 to 920 kg/m³)
