Daxter is a fictional character from the Jak and Daxter video game series. First introduced in The Precursor Legacy, Daxter is Jak 's best friend, and was accidentally transformed into an ottsel (half otter, half weasel). Daxter is voiced by Max Casella, Richard McGonagle, and Steve Blum (as Dark Daxter). Daxter is the secondary protagonist of the Jak and Daxter series, being the secondary titular playable character, and the supporting sidekick of Jak throughout the main series. He also serves as the primary character in the self-titled spin-off game, Daxter. Daxter, on his own in an unfamiliar place, realizes that being small and furry won't help his chances of survival or saving Jak, so he takes on a job as a pest exterminator -- a job in high demand Jak's loveable sidekick, Daxter, is taking center stage in this new platformer for the PSP. Daxter gives the co-star of the popular Jak & Daxter games his own adventure! Play from his animal perspective, chronicling his back-story during the two years spent alone in Haven City.
